Meeting the family

I was at "D"'s place and he was on the phone. He said "yeah, we'll be there". After the call I was wondering what..? And he said "We're going to my grandmas to eat, and mom and .. will be there". I was confused. "D" then said that "Everyone want's to know who [my name] is".
